I'm probably going to stop posting in this journal. Or any online journal. It's not like I post much of anything anyway. If you wanna talk to me, you know where to find me. If you don't know where to find me, I don't wanna talk to you. So there.
In honor of this last post I will now use my favorite icon.

Tonight: Watch Flight of the Conchords with friends. At our house. GO!
Bring things you like to drink. I will have things we like to eat. Unless you like to eat things that I don't like to eat, then you can bring them too.
If no one comes, I will eat and drink and Flight of the Conchords by myself. Which is what I've been doing during the day for the past week. But friends make it better. Bring whoever might not see this. Maybe a little Wii. We'll see how it goes.
But seriously, Party.

Items:
1: I acquired more fish. One died yesterday. That's ok. 7 left.
2: I acquired a job. 2 months ago. New boss. Nothing interesting to report.
3: Lost 10 pounds due to previously mentioned job. 15 to go. (Actually 17. Apparently I gained 2 last night.)
4: Sexy males in posted video are Jemaine and Bret of Flight of the Conchords. Yum.
5: My coworkers think I'm an alcoholic. Meh.
6: Read Pride and Prejudice again. I continue to be amazed that Mr. Darcy falls in love with Elizabeth on page 18. God damn.
7: I bought ribbons for my hair yesterday. Sometimes you just have to wear ribbons.
End.

my left cradles the last half bottle of my precious $4 strawberry-flavored wine product.
yes, much like velveeta, this is merely the shadow of the real deal and yet is wholly satisfying.
and by satisfying, i mean inebriated

If I ever win the lottery, I will A) buy a big house and B) paint each room in the house as a world from Super Paper Mario because it is nothing short of awesome. It's not so much the game play, which is fun, but the highly stylized art which makes me utterly giddy. I'm such a nerd. It's pretty horrible.
In other words...
= bathroom wall. See it? The colored tiles? Yeah. Best bathroom ever.
My first idea was to do a Nintendo-themed nursery when the time came (none of that lame baby animal crap), but why confine it to just one room?

Less George Lucas and more Will air guitar. Seriously. George Lucas may be a super director/visionary/whatever the fuck, but he's just not funny. Will playing air guitar Santana with Conan on the air bongos - that's good television. Not as enjoyable (or lengthy) as the spot he did on Jimmy Kimmel, but still worth staying up the extra two hours.
Any time a writer for Conan has a space to fill, they should probably just put in Will. Seriously. Their ratings would soar.

Pretty sure my snail named George Michael is dead. Sad face. On the other hand, Gob tends to hitchhike across the aquarium on Buster's back, which is awesome.

It's been ages since my last update but I'm too lazy to write about everything that has happened. It's also mostly boring.
1. I got a job. I quit said job. I'm now back in school. The end.
2. Changed my intended major (again, for the last time) to education. Yay. A major with actual career prospects, what a novel idea!
3. I quit WoW. Yay! Also, I/We disbanded the guild. More Yay! I'm probably not going to post anything beyond what the other ex-GMs have posted, because, honestly, I have nothing to say.
4. Last Friday Doug and I decided to have a "second honeymoon weekend" which involves shutting the door to the computer room, turning off cell phones and spending the entire weekend doing fun things. From Friday night to Sunday night we:
-Saw Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was happy we were in a full theather. It was more or less like watching an extra long episode of ATHF with a laugh track. Good times. Also bought the CD to support the cause. Not my favorite type of music, but worth it for the lead-ins on several songs by Meatwad, Shake and Carl.
-Watched seasons 2 and 3 and part of season 1 of Arrested Development, my new favorite show. In fact, having seen the end, it is solidly in my Top Three All-Time Favorite Shows (The Office, Arrested Development, and Firefly). Yet another hilarious show completely fucked over by Fox. As a direct result of this show, I have a new favorite actor, Will Arnett. More on him later.
-Went to the zoo! Doug bought me a Zoo Membership for Valentine's day, so I dragged him to see the penguins and other cute things. We had a great time and then decided to go to lunch and shopping in the Old Market. Had a fantastic lunch at the Upstream, our favorite Omaha restaurant. Their seasonal beer is quite good right now.
-Saw Blades of Glory. Another hilarious Will Ferrel movie. Even though the theater was pretty empty for this one, we still had a great time. Not only was it funny, but Jenna Fischer in a corset and Will Arnett in a variety of crazy Spandex outfits meant there was something awesome for both of us.
5. The fish tank that was going to hold a bass now contains several of my favorite friends: Buster, G.O.B. and George-Michael (mystery snails), Maeby (betta), Annyong (frog), Lindsay and Tobias (golden danios), Tweak (loach), and George and Oscar (silver mollies). Obviously, I have become attached to my friends (especially the snails!) They will not be eaten.
6. I am sick. Eww. I spent yesterday in bed watching Arrested Development and Googling Will Arnett. The best thing I found: Club Sauce
Also, this. (Different Will though). So many amazing things out there on the intarweb!
Ok. Enough for now.

Item 1. I bought a fishie tank. I will buy two or three small, cheap fishies to get the tank established and the good bacteria growing. I will NOT become attatched to them and they will not be named. In the spring, Doug and I go to the farm and catch a baby large mouth bass. Bring bass home. Bass eats unnamed fishies that I am not attatched to. BAM! Pet bass. Pet bass grows and grows. Gets to big for the tank. Pet bass gets fried and turned into fish and chips. Rinse. Repeat.
Item 2. Preordered Burning Crusade for tonight. Going to pick it up at midnight. Level of excitment: 6/10.
Item 3. Got Season One of the UK Office from Netflix. We've watched 5 episodes and so far it's meh. It's definitely not bad, and I know there's thousands of people who will come beat me up for saying it's meh, but oh well. I just love Dwigt so much.
Item 4. Snow is teh ew. Learned how to use the 4wd on Doug's truck.
Item 5. Blue Moon + orange = teh awesome. Actually, oranges in general = teh awesome. Everyone should go to No Frills and buy some before they're gone, because they're amazingly tasty.
That's all for now. I need a beer.

So a good chunk of our active WoW raiders left the guild today. Good riddance. Thank you, dear assholes, for showing us who our real friends are.
I've already been spending less and less time on WoW and more time on research for the SCA stuff. My goal is to get into that next month. Hopefully, I'll be making a dress when I visit my mom and I can start attending events and such. *sigh*
Also, got a Christmas tree today. His name is Bob.

The parts for Doug's amazingly sexy new computer arrived today and will be assembled tonight into a being of pure, unadulterated hotness. In the past, we've always just replaced parts as they died and always got mid-grade stuff. Not this time. We got pretty awesome parts this time. Doug's never had a completely new computer, so this is his Christmas/graduation present. Of course, tomorrow while Doug is at work I will be loading up Oblivion and turning the settings ALL THE WAY UP!! HOO-AAH!!! (Sadly, I will have to start characters over. I had to uninstall Oblivion off of my computer and forgot to save the save file. Lame. Oh well.) Another bonus from this new arrangement is I get to take over Doug's computer as it is technically superior to my own. My computer will become a full-time media machine, which is good because we are both out of room on our hard drives. In other gaming news: I am 12 fishies away from a golden fishing rod in Animal Crossing. Yay!
- Music:Cake - Meanwhile, Rick James...
If you release Yoshi's Story for the Wii via the Virtual Console, I will love you forever. And give you my first-born. And send you presents. And buy a lot of your over-priced accessories.
Some days only metal will do.
- Music:Van Halen - Humans Being
Item 1: Thanksgiving was a complete disaster. With the exception of about 8 hours, it was altogether a mixture of all that is boring, irritating, and downright mean and irrational.
Item 2: I have a new llama hat. It's fantastic. My continual wearing of the llama hat helped cause part of the drama that is Item 1.
Item 3: I have a new moose hat. It's also fantastic.
Item 4: I now have 14 hours of new Christmas music, courtesy of my mom. Yay!
Item 5: The puppy gets neutered next week. Poor Kodums.
Item 6: I just bought a six-pack of Sam Adams Winter Lager and a six of Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark. My goal is to be drunk enough by the time Doug comes home so that whatever we do tonight, he has to drive.
Item 7: I found a box in the basement that has all of my stuffed animals of the moose variety. They are now decorating my desk. Only one of them has a name (Melbert). I will work on naming the rest of them.
Item 8: Last night's Office was awesome and Jim (partially) redeemed himself as far as my opinion of him is concerned. I did think the episode needed more Dwight. Ever since Andy moved in, it's all Andy and very little Dwight. I love Dwight. There's a little bit of Dwight in all of us. Andy is just a worse version of Michael. Fortunately, NBC has a Dwight-related deleted scene up. It's pretty sweet.
Item 9: There is no item nine.
Item 10: I made a 3-D paper snowflake today following instructions from the intarweb. What the intarweb didn't tell me is that when you start with 9-inch squares, the thing turns out freaking HUGE. Like, almost two feet across. I love it.
Item 11: No Frills has beef on sale for $.99/pound. Unfortunately, it comes in 10-pound tubes. So, I bought 10 pounds of beef. I need a deep freeze.
Item 12: Yesterday morning, I woke up to find that the right side of my face was completely swollen and my right arm was in much pain. I think I just slept on it wrong. It was kinda cool, though, because I definitely looked like Two-Face from the animated Batman series with the whole funky swollen half-lip thing. It's gone now though.

I am very pissed off at The Office. Grrr.
Back to fangirling Venture Brothers.
Back to fangirling Venture Brothers.
Jim will casually date Karen for a while, but will ultimately end up with Pam. As it should be. Go Team Pam.
Doug came home from work early to give me the following items:
-a rose
-a bag of pistachios
-a box of chocolate covered Oreos
-a carton of butter pecan ice cream
-a bottle of top-shelf tequila
-a pineapple
-a steak
-a four-pack of Sobe Adrenaline Rush
We both did a couple shots. Tonight will be a good night.
Well, didn't get the job and my back up job is long gone. The thought of going through the whole applications/interview process again for another month makes me sick to my stomach.
